I am a very long time subscriber..
my new computer with Norton seems to want me to log in each time to café thereby losing my last remnants of a visit..though it isn't a major problem.. I would like to know where I left off but by logging in and your server or my machine not recording last visit I get all white tea cups. is there anything I can do I use Norton for all protection. thanks in advance Marty Shapiro happens only on my desktop and not on my phone |

Marty, logging in and out shouldn't change the color of the cups. The red cups indicate unread posts which include those received since your last loggin. I log out everytime I'm finished reading and the cups remain red until I read those posts.

My login is automatic every time I come here, but for the past few weeks (don't know exactly when it started), the first time I come in after I have started my browser, all the cups are red. Then I refresh/reload the page and all the cups are white. They only start to be replaced by red cups when there are new unread posts from that point onward. |

The cups have never worked for me. For example right now this thread has a white cup, the one immediately above has a red one. Both threads had comments added on July 22. After reading both threads and refreshing my browser, they remain the same, one red, one white.
I have become accustomed to looking at the links (they turn from yellow to orange) to let me know if anything new has been posted.
...what if I could read your mind?

Marty, I've run into the same problem but it seems to be IE related, when I use Chrome the cookies work just fine. I wonder in Microsoft's infinite wisdom if they released a patch that started this...
