There are five mentalism books I go back to again and again. One of those five is "The Artful Mentalism of Bob Cassidy." The book, is bursting with information and Cassidy's trademark common sense brilliance -- along with some routines that are among the "go to" staples for working mentalists. (4DT, anyone?)

So imagine my surprise when I read that there's a VOLUME TWO in the final stages. It's set for release at MindVention in November (where Bob will be a Guest of Honor).

What's in it? Jheff just announced this project at the Master Mindreader's Workshop and this is all he's saying...for now: "It will feature ten of Bob's earlier e-books. And that's all I will say for now. I'm finishing up the editing touches on it and waiting for some illustrations from Tony Dunn, but its just about done." (ALSO -- members of the workshop are getting discounted purchase rates...just another perk.)

Jheff also says that there's a Volume 3 planned for 2014 around the same time.

I don't get excited about many books these days -- but I am really looking forward to this one.

Thanks for passing that along, David. I don't need to think hard about this decision.

Definitely a no-brainer for mentalists!

Come to think of it, just what are the implications/complications/ramifications of a no-brainer for mentalists?

All I'm sensing is the word 'Coriander'. Does that mean anything to you David?

I am always going back to Corinda's 13 Steps and Annemann's PME. (We all do, right?) Then, in addition to Bob's Artful Mentalism, I frequently re-read Mentalism, Incorporated by Chuck Hickok and the Principals of Mentalism by Richard Osterlind.

There are lots of other books that I really have learned from -- but I find there are ALWAYS new ideas to be found or thoughts to be challenged by in these five.

Give Jheff a lot of credit here for his painstaking editing, formatting, updating references, etc. It'll be nice to see what I consider to be my best material written over the last decade in permanent form. (Like the first volume, this is being published in hard cover by H&R Books.)

Good thoughts,

Bob

You won't have to save that much. The book will probably be priced similarly to the first, a 290 page hardcover volume which still sells for forty-five dollars.

Thank you Bob. As per your insights, are copies of the first vol still available? Reprints? Thanks

Papernick-

Yes. "The Artful Mentalism of Bob Cassidy" has been continuously available through dealers and directly from H&R Magic Books since it was published in 2004.
