There's certainly an "Hypnosis with Trance" vibe to it, but it's not hypnosis and there's certainly no trance I don't want this to get lost in "Sleepy" this is work that has great value to mystery performers of all stripes.

I use "imagination tests" in my performance and The Swan is definitely making an appearance.

You don't have to play any role... this is fun... but powerful fun.

I had no idea what I was in for and I couldn't have been more pleased.

Hi guys,
As some of you will know I CAN BE a bit of a plonker
ie: some of the guys who bought this (THE SWAN) I truly believed were hypnotists/clinical hypnotherapists, and was surprised later to discover they were mentalists (some of whom I had been chatting to 'in here' for many years).
I just discovered literally 5 mins ago that the fella' called Dave Moses is in fact 'dmoses' who's posts I have been happily reading in here... forever. LOL!
Thankyou very much for posting this Dave. As you will know I used to post daily on 'Penny For Your Thoughts' and suddenly backed off. To be honest, until I received an email just a few moment s ago I don't remember being aware of 'Mentally Speaking' (what a great idea )
If I can say very quickly that although I work as a pro mentalist I have also been hypnotising since 1977 so I've dropped a few you might say. I run a fairly successful practice here in Montrose (the home of James Esdaile)where I mentor visiting therapists and also do workshops around Europe revealing my particular take.
THE SWAN came about by accident whilst working on myself (hey, it's what I do ) and since then I've taught it to a couple hundred therapists and stage hypnotists.
But I now use it in my mentalism work, both one on one and in group work.
If I can very quickly thank Andy Fisher for posting the SWAN CLIP (thankyou Andy).
That particular clip was taken during a coffee break and I honestly had no idea that someone was even filming it till we were well into the protocol. But I actually like it as it reveals that not ALL specs/clients are 'naturals' and sometimes we have to work a wee bit?
It was taken during a workshop I was doing in London and the gentleman involved (Philippe) and I have since become very good friends. The guy filming it eventually popped over from Athens to spend a couple days being mentored by me (it's a funny old world huh?)where he saw me perform THE SWAN, again & again, in its full glory!
I also want to thank IAIN DUNFORD (cool thinker)for contacting me recently with some truly wonderful ideas of performing THE SWAN that I simply never thought about and might want to take further (with him).
I guess I should honestly end by saying that although THE SWAN is 'a keeper' in any mentalist act I do believe it is also a revelation in how to TRULY contact our very own subconscious. You don't really need to hypnotise. You can simply summon THE SWAN.

ps. performed The Swan for the first time today. The reaction was terrific-- from both the subject, and the people who were watching it unfold.
Anything that can make your mentalism visual is a gift. And this "mental game" has a terrific theatrically to it.

For those who have it, I added one last phase to Bob's "routine" which is to end with a positive affirmation as the Swan lays down its head ( "...only as quickly as Sarah's subconscious is ready to... etc. etc.)

I'm never going to stop performing this.

I've just arrived in Southampton (over a 550 mile drive and clicked into The Café... 'I'm buggered! LOL!!).
