What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?
My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums. |

I found this fact out when I did my research about real life stabbing cases while doing my Martial Arts training. Just Google it, fatal stab to stomach. Prepare yourself for some gruesome autopsy imagery though. Not for those with a weak stomach. Especially since we're talking about a child in that movie, it is plausible. But the movie is both sad and uplifting. Especially the last scene. Glad you saw it.

"Shawshank Redemption" is my favorite of all time by a long shot. Second on the list is "Titanic."
I do like "Pay It Forward," because it is so uplifting and original. Really gets me thinking after I watch it. Surprisingly, I've never seen any of the Godfather movies. Or "Pulp Fiction," for that matter. |

Shawshank is an outstanding book, too ("Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption," by Stephen King). I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it. Worth reading even if you've seen the movie. Other great non-horror by King: Hearts in Atlantis, 11-22-63, and The Green Mile,

I actually like Stephen King's short stories/novellas more than his longer works. They seem to be more successful movies (Shawshank, Stand By Me, etc). The Green Mile was a chapter book (that's how Charles Dickens use to write)...King wrote a chapter, published it, and started next chapter...he had no idea how story would end as it was going into print. Shawshank is one of those great movies I'll put on whenever I see on TV.
The Princess Bride is also a great book...different than movie, but both good. I didn't watch The Godfather movies for long time...never had much interest. But once I did, I saw why they are classics.
