Is there a way to keep the shine on balloons. I want to send my mom a bouquet but I don't want them to be dull when they get there. Hmmmm I wonder if going from a mile high to sea level will effect it too? Anyone?

They don't loose their shine, they gain a "velvet finish" according to one of the balloon manufactures.

Losing shine seems very connected to heat. That is often hard to control when mailing.

You could try putting it in a garbage bag and tie it closed before you mail it. That will help some. The balloons are going to oxidize at some point, but that might help slow it down a little.

HI Dollar
did a quick google search. "Effect of altitude changes on balloons" Maybe it will help https://www.google.com/#sclient=psy-ab&q......&bih=908 (Sheesh that's long!) Didn't read much, but it seems mostly about helium filled balloons Peace
