I joined the forum in 2009. Should I say Hello?
Over 12 years SAM and sometimes IBM. Magic Castle Junior alumni and member. FISM attendee since competing in Portugal (Tango & Magic, not "Magic Tango 2012") 2 summers performing at Six Flags (Texas and St. Louis). and then... I got a great job sitting in a chair and writing computer programs all day. I got a great wife. We started competing in the Professional Ballroom dance world. This gets me all dressed up in front of an audience at least once a month. We became successful dance team coaches after work each day. Basically I have everything I could ever need. But the magic bug won't leave me alone! I've had it ever since seeing Seigfried & Roy live in Las Vegas. I think I may be having a magic mid-life crisis (a little early).

Hello, mr. Devoe! What an interesting life you lead!
Being a professional, competing dancer makes you an entertainer in your own right. And a winning choreography can be magical, too. The more succesful magic shows also enjoy a sound choreography. I understand about having a great job programming software. In another life I work as a software architect and developer. I always enjoy meeting people with whom I have multiple things in common!
Renaissance Man ~ I am interested in a lot, I can do a lot, I have done a lot. Not all equally well, and there's still a lot more for me to explore.
