It was on and I recorded it to watch. I always liked that movie. I did it because of the whole Ben Affleck in Batman thing.

He was great in this movie.

That aside I don't care what your position on religion is, this movie is HILARIOUS. They put a great disclaimer about it being a comedy at the front. If your position on comedy is you enjoy it watch this movie. Watch it a couple of times. It is worth it.

Actually, quite interestingly, Smith only RECENTLY started smoking pot.
He'd done it in high school, but it was actually never a real part of his life, out side of Mewes' use of it during Clerks, and his later problems with hard drugs, marajuana was only really a "part of his life" in the form of his screen persona.

It wasn't until after Zach and Miri Make a Porno that he became a self proclaimed "pot head." It may have even been after Cop Out, not sure.

Any way, long after Dogma, and the rest of the Askewniverse films.

But yes, Dogma is a good, and funny, movie.

Oh, and as far as best work, don't count out Chasing Amy.

I prefer Clerks to Mallrats and Chasing Amy.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley.

I am Catholic and some of the themes and lines in Dogma just really hit home comedy wide for me. Masterful in my opinion. Sort of polling fun at without making fun of almost of is possible.

Actually NOT so obvious. Kevin never smoked pot. I might be wrong, but I don't' think he even tried it until fairly recently. The main reason was his concern for his acting partner, the tall blond haired kid who had serious addition problems. and so Kevin was very anti pot. A couple of years ago, he tried it, liked it, and now calls himself a pot head. He has written about it pretty extensively.

Danny, the obvious is not necessarily the reality.

I had it too, but then loaned it to my wife's friend, with whom she subsequently had a falling out, and now I have no copy Smile

I know what you mean. Serious addition problems can be a real problem. You're never able to add up how much all that pot's going to cost! :o
