My IMS Best of the Best DVD set just arrived. The lineup of performers looks strong. My wife wants to wrap it up and give it to me as a Christmas gift so I won't be watching it for a while. Anybody had a chance to view some of these yet? Would enjoy hearing your opinions.

Has anyone had a chance to view any of these? I'm realy interested in what Lenart Green teaches on his 3 IMS Dvd's. Does he teach the "Laser Deal"?

I have lists of the contents but am not prepared to type them up entirely. I will say that the two Tabary DVDs seem to cover everything on his two videos with many access points (which would have been great four years ago when I learned it). If you have specific DVD performers I will be glad to list the effects for you in the next couple of days.

These DVDs are $199 for the whole set of fifty volumes. That seems incredibly good value. Is it? It sounds almost too good to be true - in other words is anyone disappointed that they shelled out the money?

David has a good question. I ordered the set and am waiting to receive it. But, I have a few other IMS videos and have been very pleased with them.

I once called their office to order a set and got Tony Hassini himself. He was very funny on the phone. There was alot of talking in the background and he screamed for them to shut up. I laughed so hard.

I assume that this set would be a fine one.

I bought the IMS DVD's last year and was pleased with my purchase.

For members they are $199. Membership costs $25, but it's lifetime without another fee-ever.

MagicChris,

Did you buy the Magic Academy DVD's last year?

If you did, how do you compare the quality of material between the two sets?

BTW, I took the Doctor of Magic examination and passed.
I only received a certificate and a membership card after paying $25.00. I was disappointed with the quality of the certificate. It is similar to our regular lifetime certificate. Smile

Hello Chris,

It is a multiple choice type of examination of magical terms, history, identification etc. There were plenty of questions.

If you pass, they will give you the degree of Doctorate in Magic. You have to pay $25 for the checking of your answer sheets and processing of your certificate.
