Hi,
saw the Pimpernel Wallet advertised as follows: "From England’s Peter Scarlett comes one of the most unassuming close-up weapons ever devised! It looks like a regular wallet, it feels like a regular wallet - indeed, it even functions like a regular wallet - but when the time comes, you’re ready to level an audience, and the wallet does all the work! Although mechanically very different, it performs all the functions of a Himber Bombshell wallet. A wallet is placed on the table. A spectator then chooses a card from a red-backed deck and signs it, then shuffles it back into the pack. The performer says that he is so confident he can find the card, he will actually put money on it! The wallet is opened and some money removed. Note that at no time does the wallet go anywhere near the deck! The performer removes one card from the deck and places it in a transparent window in the wallet. "If your card is not in the wallet," he explains, "the money is yours!". The card is removed, but proves to be incorrect. As the spectator grabs for the money, the performer draws attention to a small zippered pocket on the other side of the open wallet - the zipper is opened and the signed selection is found inside! BUT THERE’S MORE! The signed, red-backed card then promptly changes color, leaving the spectator with a blue-backed souvenir! No Palming, no difficult sleights, and it resets in seconds! And just look at this list of satisfied customers: Scotty York, Paul Daniels, Carl Cloutier, Bobby Bernard, Bill Goldman, Gary Ouellet, and on and on! " how clean is this trick and is it as good as it says? what are the sleights required here? are they difficult? (it says here there is no palming required...) I already have the Mullica wallet and instant pro... I don't really like the Mullica wallet, although most people love it, because I am not too comfortable with the loading... I like instant pro, but I have looking for one where the card gets into the zippered compartment... please advise... thanks eric

I have a "Bombshell" Hinber wallet, it uses the same principle! This is my opinion... get it, it's great! Everything it says in the ad is 100% true! No palming, it's real easy! I'm going to purchase one too, since my "Bombshell Wallet" does not have a zippered compartment and it's also quite large.

The Pimpernel Wallet is GREAT. Especially with the routine 'The Dark Card' also available from Peter Scarlett.
The only reason I don't carry a Pimpernel now is that I carry a Predator instead! Recommended. Jamie.

I don't care for the Pimpernel Wallet. The routine is that you have the card signed, then take a crad from the deck and put it in a clear window of the wallet, it porved not to be their card, but their card is in a zippered compartment.
I think taking a card from the deck and putting it in the wallet muddies up the effect.

For the last phase of the above mention routine it appears that you need to purchase a 'Dark card" for approx an additional $50. Is this worth it, and where is the best place to buy this wallet at?

I am an idiot. I looked at peters website and he had the wallet listed as 45 and the dark card + wallet at 80. Little did I know I was comparing apples to oranges because it was 45 pounds which is equivelant to 70 us dollars. Anyway I'll stop now before I make more of an idiot out of myself.

I was not happy with the Pimpernel wallet. I used the Bendix with the zipper which is made in England.
Larry Becker's effect "Here, there and everywhere" from his last book "Stunners Plus" used the wallet. If you have the book check it out. Richard. |
