I've heard references made to this technique of "threading" a fairly large packet of cards in a deck, in order to achieve a foolproof (or virtually so) f***e on a cut made by a spectator. Is this exactly what it sounds like? I guess there are multiple ways to do it, potentially -- glue, tape, maybe even actual thread (I experimented with this and it seems like you could achieve some interesting gaffes with some sewing skills)...
Any advice on the best way to prepare such a deck? |

Tie a packet together with multiple knots so the thread won't come loose. Use a few extra cards while tying. Remove these cards so the thread can be easily taken off when needed. I use it to shuffle the deck and keep a packet intact. An overhand shuffle really looks good. On the last shuffle you can easily cut the packeet to the top or bottom as you prefer.
