You bet. BTW, I'm still very happy with mine. Air and handling continue to darken them and I'm thinking of rubbing some highlights into them with NevR Dull. Anyhow, Donnie's advice has held up just great. Ultimate thanks go to him.

Those Village Tinner cups listed above from Etsy look like the Johnny Thompson cups that treat a standard sponge ball like a chop cup. Are they narrow enough at the top to do the same? If so, do they release a sponge ball the same way?

It is not the Johnny Thompson cups that treat a standard sponge ball like a chop cup. It is the Johnny PAUL cups.

And, NO, the cups from the Village Tinner are not narrow enough at the top to do the job. However, you should be able to purchase a set of the Johnny Paul cups from RnT 2.
