You are correct sir! I'll leave it to other researchers to figure out the total income from that revenue stream.

The number of countries in Africa is . . . well, it's tricky, it depends. Wikipedia lists 58 as of 2013. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Afr......pulation (this may be a surprise to players of RISK!)
But there are some other considerations that may factor in, according to your definition of country and Africa: http://jfmaho.wordpress.com/2010/12/30/h......-africa/ Tonight's puzzle will be multiple choice. As always, no fair Googling. Monday, North Carolina's school board banned Ralph Ellison's 1953 National Book Award winner, Invisible Man, from school libraries and its approved reading list for student summer reading. What was one of the reasons given by a member of the board for the banning? a) It's too scary. b) It has no literary merit. c) Students shouldn't read in the summer. d) It's a lot of pages and students might get back strain from carrying it. e) The movie where Abbott and Costello meets him was better.

The reason given by a NC school board member for banning Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man was . . . b) It has no literary merit. Choice e) would have been correct had they been discussing Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
“I didn’t find any literary value,” board member Gary Mason said at the meeting. “I’m for not allowing it to be available.” In 2010, Time magazine named the book one of the top 100 English-language novels of all time, calling it “the quintessential American picaresque of the 20th century.” Tonight's puzzle: Who is the world's all time best selling author in any language, where best-selling means number of copies sold? Well Shakepeare is number one with an estimated 2-4 billion copies sold; and Agatha Christie is number 2, also estimated at between 2 and 4 billion copies. Who is number 3? Because the estimated ranges are so wide, I'll accept any of the next four best-selling authors as verified by the esteemed experts at Wikipedia.

Best selling authors, measured by numbers of books sold, after Shakespeare and Agatha Christie . . . Wikipedia says Barbara Cartland, Danielle Steele, Harold Robbins, George Simenon.

Since it's Banned Book Week, here is another related question:

(A challenge is defined as a formal, written complaint filed with a library or school requesting that a book or other material be restricted or removed because of its content or appropriateness.) A) Huckleberry Finn--Mark Twain B) The Catcher in the Rye--J.D. Salinger C) Forever--Judy Blume D) Th Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian--Sherman Alexie E) Captain Underpants--Dav Pilkey

Well all the above have been challenged at one time or another for sure. But the most challenged book in schools and libraries in the US in the year 2012 was...E) Captain Underpants! Anyone who has a 7 year old child will be gobsmacked to hear that.
Choice D)The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian--Sherman Alexie was the number two most challenged book of 2012. I hereby relinquish this thread to someone else, after nine straight posts. Hey Clinton, you got one of these correct, wanna take a turn?

Because of the public outcry, including undoubtedly the tens of thousands of Magic Café members reading this thread, the North Carolina school board has rescinded its ban on Invisible Man. http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/09/25/sc......ble-man/ Magicians helping School Boards helping Invisible Men.
