Yep. Using facts is embarrassing. I don't know how I will show my face ever again anywhere.

You're always the first to mock anyone who doesn't agree with your politics or lines of thought and I've had just about enough of your antics. Enough is enough Al. Get a life. I'm done with you. You won't hear from me anymore. You're simply not worth my precious time.

My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums. |

These days I tip whenever any gas station attendant cleans my windshield without my asking for it. This is quite typical on the NJ Turnpike. I always tip a dollar if they do that at any gas station. It's a common courtesy. But I guess I'm a nut case for believing in common courtesies.

It never would occur to me to tip an attendant.
I wasn't driving in the sixties so I have no frame of reference.

I was making $1.75/hr back then, so tips were certainly appreciated and that's why we hustled for them. If an attendant could bring home a couple of bucks in tips, it was bonus money. And it was accepted back then to tip attendants in those years as much as a waiter or waitress today. My father used to work overnight shifts at a local gas station on weekends in the fifties for extra money and I can remember him leaving all his tip change on the dining room table when he came home in the morning for us to use in putting change in our church envelopes for Sunday School.

9 out of 11 are inside jobs.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever except for you to rub 9-11 in from that other thread, which I have avoided. Shame on you.

In a recent interview the Cohen Brothers admitted that, while they prefer working in film, it is now impossible because there are no editors left who know how to edit film. Everything is digital these days. Projectionists is also a job that is rapidly declining.
"We were one of the last people to stop cutting on film. And when we stopped, people would say, “Why?” Honestly, the answer was because we couldn’t find assistants who knew how to work on film. They didn’t exist anymore. I mean, it was — I remember being in Ken Loach’s cutting room around then, and I said — he was cutting on a Steenbeck back then — and I said, “How do you do this?” And he pointed like that [points] and there was this, like, 96-year-old guy on the rewinds. There are only 3 people on this list who insist on insulting and bullying people. Al's not one of them. |

So if I show you a thread where Al has attacked others for no reason you would then say he is a bully?
Or for that matter yourself? Do YOU ever indulge in that?

I'm sure I have, but I try not to make a habit of it. Unlike some. It isn't a matter of whether it has ever been done. It matters if it is consitent and constant, the person's MO, if you will. |

The fact remains, and I bet if Al took a few seconds to think about it he might admit it, he types without doing too much research. He shoots off the mouth before thinking often because his Italian temperament tends to get the best of him.
