What are your favourite tv shows?
What are your favourite films?
What's your favourite food?
What's your favourite anything?
Where can I find answers to things like this?
Is there anywhere on the web which has ridiculous but mundane stats?

Go to http://www.google.com and do a search on "statistics." There are several web sites that may provide the information you are looking for.

You might also go to askjeeves.com and ask a question such as "What is the most popular TV show in the UK?"

Maybe you should use the word Telly or Television. With "TV" they might just automatically send you to Graham Norton.

The reason I asked this question in Inner Thoughts is because mentalists may know the sources of interesting statistics for use in Cold Reading, and with probability tables by region, as well as national averages etc

I'm looking for information that other mentalists have found useful. They know what I'm on about. I thought by asking other mentalists where they themselves look for information of this type it would save me doing exactly what you just prescribed!

Oh well. I'll just take away the number I just thought of instead.

That's exactly how we find the information. There are a number of mentalist's publications that have a certain amount of that information in them, but, to my knowledge, there is not a single web site that has all of it compiled into one set of statistics.

LOL!

How wonderful that you believe 'they already know'

The magic word you need is 'demographics'.

And that number you were considering... not enough to afford the studies.

Stick with the freebie information from web.

Oh?

How'd I know you were going to think that? Smile
