I first heard that Gary Knights wanted to sell his cup-making business about a month ago when he contacted me and asked me if I was interested.
My answer was something along the lines of, "I'll take it.". It was one of the easiest decisions I've ever made because Gary designs great cups. He's been working on his designs for years and the end result is a fine tuned variety of cups for a variety of magician's purposes. He's got 11 unique cup designs and a chop goblet. I've admired his work for a long time, but, to be able to make his designs, and include his designs into my catalog of Rings-N-Things Magic, is something I never thought I would be able to do. As you can imagine, I don't buy any other manufacturers' cups, so I've never actually owned a Gary Animal made set of cups. But I do look at A LOT of cups, and since friends and associates own sets of Gary's cups, I've been able to hold most of his cup designs in my hands and admire the work. (Secretly, I've always WANTED a set of Street Devils.) I'm really pleased to be able to continue Gary's work and spin up his cups. It's going to take me a while to get up to speed, as we really just finalized the deal today, and it's going to take some time for me to get everything just right & balanced, but pretty soon I'll be able to roll out some pieces of The Gary Animal Collection. Congratulations! A thought... What I liked about Gary's cups was the "hand made" feel to them. I don't care about a few spin lines, mirror polish or fancy epoxy coatings. Just a good solid street cup in a classic metal like copper or his guild metal and I'd be perfectly happy.

Many congratulations Donnie.
I had a set of Gary's cups but I sold them. I've regretted it ever since.

Congratulations - looking forward to seeing RnT2's range of Animal cups. They're prized items in my collection. Richard

Oh my God.
(Since I didn't use the now trite "OMG," I'm hoping the sincerity of my commentary of this deal is apparent). BTW...THIS IS FRICKIN' AWESOME!!!

I don't know how Donnie gets all these cups made, but, they are fantastic! Take a look at those wooden chop-cups on the web site...awesome!

Congratulations.....this is a pretty big deal! The Animal Cups and The Gazzo Cups are the PERFECT addition to the RNT Brand, in my opinion! I, for one, will be VERY CURIOUS TO SEE WHAT ACCESSORIES AND VARIOUS OPTIONS (Balls, wands, etc.) you recommend for these cups as they are so necessary for each cup's individual handling characteristics.......and I'm guessing that you have been thinking about this.... Please keep us posted! Best of luck with this "new" Line Donnie....I'm sure you will do great!!! |

Hi guys,
I'm looking for a new set of cups. I've only ever had generic sets and this time I'm willing to spend a buck or two on a decent set. Right now I'm going back and forth between the Gazzo cups and the Animal cups (picture in OP). I have never handled either one of the sets so I'm asking my experienced colleagues. I realize it comes down to personal taste in the end but what do YOU feel are the pros and cons of these sets? Are the Gazzo cups TOO big? Is it a draw back that you won't be able to load an orange into the Animal cups? Enlighten me!
