Hi guys, rookie magician here.
Just wondering about Magician Wax..
I have heard about wax many times, but can never figure out what it's for.

Magician's wax (sticky wax) has many different applications in Magic. If you don't know what it is used for, you probably don't need it at the moment. Without giving away secrets, let's just say it is used to make things stick together temporarily. It is used to anchor IT and to attach IT to objects. There are many different formulations of wax at your disposal and the type of wax used depends on the application or preference of use.
I don't mean to be so vague but the cardinal rule here on the Café is not to give away secrets on the open forum. I hope this was of some help to you. You may PM me if you like and I will give you a better understanding how it is used.

Irossal, thank you for your reply.
But is it used just for IT work?
How about for card to ceiling?

It's for sticking things together quickly, but temporarily...IT, cards, paper, coins, etc.

No need to buy it thought, as you can use poster putty while you're learning.

And you can get a container of orthodontal wax at the pharmacy for less that $1 and it will do the same thing as "magicians wax". Also you get about twice as much.
