I'd rather reboot to an earlier restore point, complete with a federal government that acted within narrowly and specifically designed enumerated powers.

Ah, Lobo, when would that be? How far do we go back? Before the Louisiana Purchase? (And I have a very specific reason for choosing that event: the dude who had to legally justify it was the same dude who thought we ought to have a revolution every decade or so.)

No idea what the pitch for "trustworthy computing" was about. Trusted to require updates and open access for those given license to any user data perhaps?
