I never had any one questioning the Doll when they examined it. They check
it out at the End, when the Doll falls on the Table. The Prop is extremely well made.

Thanks everyone for your replies.I do like the idea of handing it out first.

Here's a question for any one...does the thread that's wrapped around the doll serve any purpose other than decoration? I mean does it help hold the doll together in any way? I noticed that the thread that's wrapped around one of the arms is coming unwound on me and don't know if it's something to be concerned about or not.
Not sure why the unraveling, because I handle the doll with care even tho it's pretty sturdy and never mess with the thread. |

Same thing happened to mine. I used a dab of white glue. Problem solved.

Maybe someone here could help me out. I would like to find some small device that would emit a scream, not ear piercing, but something that would do a loud scream of some sort. I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday, if you have access to a physical one or online, I recomend it highly. They have lots of different options for a box, bag etc to carry the HD around in. Michaels is good too but Hobby Lobby had more in my eyes. And someone else mentioned it in this thread.
So back to my point...I bought a mini burlap bag to carry mine around in. Looks great and aged. I took a sharpie and put some symbols on it. But I was thinking if I could find something small enough, I could take the doll out to do the illusion, but keep the bag in my other hand, which would be free because I like to take the spectators hand to hover over top of the doll while the rising up is happening, just a preference, so anyway, I could keep the bag in my free hand with the screamer still inside, and if I could find something small enough with maybe a simple push button type of deal to activate it thru the bag, and have it scream out when I let them reach for it at the end, sorta like Rogue does. I don't want any thing obnoxiously loud of course, and you have to decide the right enviroment and people to use this idea on. I did a quick google search but so far haven't come up with anything yet. Is there anything like that as far as magic props go? I'm not familiar if there is one. Any websites or suggestions are welcome. I tried looking for halloween items that may fit the bill but no luck so far. Probably something the size of a key fob or smaller would be great. I can always go with a little larger bag to make it fit. I'll keep looking on my own and if I come up with anything, I'll pass it along if any one else would be interested in such a thing, but in the meantime I welcome any suggestions. thanks |

Thanks guys! That really soundzamazing....I kill me. Okay bad joke. I never had heard of it and thanks for the replies. It's certainly a great product and would certainly work for what I want. I'm gonna look around some more and see if there's anything else maybe a little cheaper as the scream thing would be the only thing I would need it for at the moment. If I can't come up with anything else I'll break the piggy bank open and try to get this.
I found those little novelty sound effect machines that are super cheap, but they have several little buttons, one for each sound, that would make it difficult to use with how I described I want to use it. But they are self contained without an elaborate hook up. I just came up with this whole scream idea a couple days ago, so I'll look around a little more before making the big purchase. If any one has any other ideas please suggest. Again thanks for the replies and for telling me about the soundzamazing gadget. Probably would've never found it on my own. |

I think I'm gonna try just getting a keychain voice recorder and get my niece to scream for me to record it. Some of those have a simple one button operation. I've been looking on amazon at the different versions. If the quality and volume are good enough then I can just go that route as some have a speaker playback. If it doesn't work out the piggy bank gets broken and on to the big guns.

Honestly, with soundzamazing your going to fool a lot of people. There are so many uses. For what you get and what you can do with this its worth the asking price and more.

I just got this effect and am pretty disappointed. The DVD is super glitchy (the segments aren't selectable because they weren't burned in as chapters but "titles" instead, so it's very difficult to navigate the menu (i.e. the menu doesn't work). Secondly, my doll was terribly made, it's slathered in glue all over the thread in the middle and looks terrible. Way too dollar store and not old artifact like I was expecting. Also, the pin freakin' kills and it definitely will leave a tell-tale mark on your palm.
