A good advice to everyone that bought haunted doll:
take a good liquid superglue and cover the doll with it at the breaking points. this way you will not have the problem anymore, that your haunted doll breaks. good for you and bad for the seller

Still the best close up non-card trick for me. People will cry, laugh, scream and run away when you show them this! And the best part is no-one ever wants to touch it for fear of the curse!!

I had a mate over yesterday and he always asks to see this. After I performed it for him yet again he tried for the next 15 minutes to get it to rise and continued to try intermittently over the next few hours. The look on his face still makes me laugh.

Hello, first post ever on here. ( I usually read the comments.)😉 I just wanted to let everyone know another great way to carry the haunted doll and to protect it. I use a business card suite case. Fits in the palm of your hand and easy on pocket space and management. You can find them on Amazon between $5 and $15. Aluminum and leather hard cases available. Hope that helps anyone looking for ways to carry it around and protecting it.

I got this this week and have been practicing. So far I'm having difficulty, but making some progress. I've also been using the plastic case that came from my Fair Play gimmick. Fits perfectly.

Sharing a performance of this that I made recently and looking for some feedback. My buddy took the vid too far away though, it was supposed to be much closer. Thought of adding a glass over the doll when it's in standing position, not sure if that will be over proving it?

It would be nice if they had a second model that was more aged looking to suit the "haunted" label better and maybe darken the gimmick. I see people hand this out for examination? Doesn't anyone puts it in their own hand to try to make it stand or look at it closely? I used to own it and the glue and staples were showing so bad it made it look like it was not very well crafted so I sold it.

I don't hand it out for examination as I think's it's quite obvious to most people when it's in their hands. Especially when they try to imitate you by putting it on their palm to make it stand. Even though they may not be able replicate the performance, they already know the secret...

No one has found anything on mine. With regard to darkening it, that's easy enough to do by yourself. Most people would probably rather start with the doll as it is and then treat it to look however they like.
Setsuna - I saw your video and you place the doll on your hand in such a deliberate manner that it is probably fairly obvious to attentive spectators! I just lay mine on my hand and get it set immediately without first standing it up and fiddling like that. If your specs are "...trying to imitate you..." then don’t give them such a clear example to imitate! Or else don’t allow such examination. You cannot give them that clear of a picture and then hand it to them. Thanks! Jim |

Hi J-Mac, thanks for the feedback! Yes, that's probably a problem I have, will have to try to set it up properly on the first go when laying it down on my hand. Can't seem to get it properly set up on 1st try, it just pops out when I try to move.

Leave your hand flat and then when placing the doll cup it just a little. The line across your hand will give you a nice spot to anchor it to while it lays flat.

I hand it out first to a couple of spectators after I tell my tale. They look at it mostly front and back and hand it back to me. After I have it rise and fall I just put it away. They don't ask to see it again.

I've had people I do and don't know handle this after the fact and they never work it out. One of my mates always tries to do it when he comes over and he still hasn't worked it out. Hands down(subconscious pun)the most talked about effect I do, and the easiest. Suck 'em in with a story and atmosphere and they'll never forget this one. I also only refer to the doll as my Stickman, just in case they want to look it up.

I'm curious how much practice most people had to do to get this to consistently work. I'm having a lot of difficulty.
