Usually I don't take any magical items with me when I fly, other than maybe some coins and cards. In the next couple of months however, I will need to do some travelling and want to take my magic bag along as well. The question is, am I going to have trouble with the airlines and taking this stuff as carry on?
I won't be taking anything flamable, and I know knives and other sharp things have to go into the checked in luggage; but what about props containing magnets, or long heavy wooden sticks (wands) - or even lengths of ropes. Has anyone had any experiences since security everywhere has been stepped up, e.g. flying to the recent FISM? I don't want trouble when I fly, my escape skills aren't up to getting out of a customs holding cell at the airport. David. |
