I agree Ken, one needs to be a good public speaker and/or a good comedian first. If you don't have that then all the fancy locks and floating ladies in the world isn't going to help you.
I think I also need to make my verbiage shorter, I am too long winded. I usually engage the audience with a longer story. Most of my effects are more a "Once upon a time..." sort of thing, and I need to be more to the point. Glad we could get the thread back on track.
