I've searched the forms but couldn't find anything on this particular system. Does anyone have a review of its performance?

I'm also interested in this. I have an old MiPro which was a work horse, but it now gets constand cracks from interference, and is practically unusable. I'd love it if the Uhf-Pro is equal to it.

Ok owners review : the Uhf Pro is like the old reliable mini fender amp sucked down a can of Red Bull , ate some buffalo wings and grew a couple. That's just the amp part, now add two DIFFERENT wireless channels that you'll never get interference because you lock in on your own freq. 2 headset mikes (as good a quality as any sony or anything under a sennheiser ) 2 transmitter packs for the mikes - a hand held mike with it's own transmitter...a system that has it's own digital fm - uhf and sd card for loading MP3's in and out ports,,,this puppy has the MiPro beat in the first round....I use mine on a daily basis , and because I carry the under $5 a month warranty I'll never need to buy another (and if you tell Brian at happieamp.com big george sent you . he'll set you up with a rent to own program) you can use it while your gigging best idea since McDonalds

I'd avoid the Happy Amp line and get something better quality, especially for the cost. I've never used this UHF pro system, so I can only speak about my own experience with the other Happie Amp Products. Brian provides great customer service, but the products aren't good quality and are very over-priced. The Happie Amp makes a decent little backup sound system to use in an emergency, but I wouldn't recommend doing paying gigs with it.

As always, people have different expectations for sound quality, so many guys might recommend it and actually like it.

Again, I haven't actually used this system, so I don't know if this helped at all:) This system looks very different from the classic Happie Amp design, and the UHF already tells me it's better quality, so maybe it's really different.

I second Kevin's comments. I own the Happie Amp 2.0 and cannot recommend it for a professional performer.

More times than I can remember, the amp lost power in the middle of my show (even after charging it fully). At first I thought it was a problem with the battery or amp, but they were working perfectly - the Happie Amp 2.0 just isn't meant to be used for a full day of shows.

The Happie Amp 2.0 uses a lead acid battery. This means that if the battery completely drains down (which it will after 2 hours or so), then the battery is completely done and you will have to purchase a replacement.

If you're doing more than 1 or 2 shows in a day, then you'll need to find an outlet to charge the amp BEFORE it drains out. (and if you do outdoor shows, you'll be lucky to get a full hour out of the battery)

I've also received a couple of Happie Amp products that had manufacturing defects. The on/off switch on my Ultimate Control, for example, stopped functioning properly because it lost contact with the real switch inside. Other times, the amp would make loud humming noises while it was charging.

Maybe I've just had a bad luck streak, but this year alone I went through 3 Happie Amps, 2 Ultimate Controls and 2 replacement batteries.

Thankfully, I purchased the Unlimited Warantee, and Brian always honored the warrantee. Brian provides exceptional customer service, and is a truly wonderful guy that cares about his customers. However, in my experience, the products are just not intended to be used by a full-time performer.

Here's the bottom line:

Need a back-up in case of an emergency? A Happie Amp could cover you in a pinch.

Are you a professional? Then invest in professional equipment.

Anyone have any experience with the comparable(?) amp from Florida Magic and Sound?

Same thing. I haven't used that particular model but I've used Florida sound systems in the past (for a few days, before they went out!) and am aware of their reputation with professionals, and I HIGHLY recommend avoiding this brand.

Hope that helps,
Kevin

I've had a Florida Magic PAS787 system for years and still use it. I never had a problem. You just have to make sure you use a fresh battery in your transmitter. It would cut in and out from time to time but with a fresh battery, no problem. I'm thinking of buying the new PAS 8000 http://floridamagic.bizhosting.com/pas_8000.html with the built in battery.
Just my opinion

The UHF Pro seems to have been discontinued. Can't find it on Brian's site, Penguin, or Amazon. Interesting.
