Dear all
Does anyone know if this fruit that Michael sells fits the James Riser Standard Cups, the last thing I want to do is order and they are too big! Cheers Daren |

The Fab Fruit are pretty small, therefore, I wouldn't think that you'd have a problem fitting them into Riser's cups. Ammar uses Johnson cups nowadays and the fruit fit into them just fine. The Johnson cups are pretty standard size cups. I've been very pleased with the Fab Fruit. They're great to have as a backup for when you don't have time (or you just don't feel like) to go to the store.

I second MJ Marrs' opinion of Ammar's Fab Fruit. I have them. Not only are they on the small side (fits most if not all regular size cups) but they are easy to load because of their size and they look real.

I can recommend them, they are
1. realistic 2. convenient 3. fit most cups, almost too small if only they packed flat! |

I have the fruit and they are wonderful. He now has a turnip that looks like the real thing.

Much better fruit can be bought from Amen Wardey. Much more realistic and I have heard complaints that eventualy the color on the Fab Fruit starts to flake off. I do not know if this is true or not. But I do know the Wardey items are much better and the only ones I will ever use.

Ammar's stuff is made right and works great, I love the potato and the turnip, not to mention the tomato and the lime.

Would anyone happen to know if these will ever be made again? I never took the opportunity to get them when Mike was selling them on his website. He even came to lecture and I still didn't pick them up. Now I wish I had not waited.

They are fake, end of subject. That is what is so great about real fruit, it is so off beat and unexpexted and REAL. People can tell that the fab fruit are fake, sorry.

Well, that is if you let them touch the fruit. When I saw Michael do this at the lecture, laymen and some magicians didn't know he was using the "Fab Fruit." With these, the lemons and limes are very real looking. I just want them because I hate going to the store to find the right size, pay 80 cents a piece only to do it again right before a show later on.

Is there any other supplier for the lemons? I need a fake lemon for my orange, lemon, egg, canary routine. I see that Micheal is still out of lemons and limes. Thanks,
Keith

I do not think fab fruit would work well for the OLEC routine. They are very heavy. If you go shopping to some large craft stores you may find what you are looking for. Also rustic hutch carried some interesting items.
To answer your question, there may be another supplier, but Mike Ammar is not going to tip his source. He found them, so you must do the same amount of work, he has done to locate these items. Why, I say this is because he mentioned his suppler ran out of certain fruit. So he is getting them from somewhere. |

Thanks!
Actually I am thinking the lemon would be perfect for the initial vanish. My table has a spandex trap to drop the egg and lemon, so weight is a good thing. I plan on using a real lemon inside a real orange along with the blown egg for the production portion of the routine. I will do some checking at craft stores though. That might work as well. I might weigh down a fake lemon or something. Thanks again, Keith
