I always thought the Balducci was the best of them.

Extremely poor trailer, that Balducci looked horrible. The well know coat lev looked just as bad.

What new ideas does Shin Lim bring to the table? Holding one hand on a wall?

At least they didn't fake things like David Blaine did.

But what are they bringng that's new to the effect and worth paying for a new DVD?

From the trailer it seems nothing new at all...

I have seen people do rotations seemingly showing both feet as well as seemingly moving sideways etc.

Why the hell is Paul Harris lending his name to this crap?

My 2 favourite things were that at the start he was just staring at the wall and that there was no audience.

Shin Lim faked a demo video, I have no idea who Jose Morales is, and I've never seen Paul Harris perform or endorse any kind of levitation technique.

And the demo video is crap.

This effect needs a whole lot more before I buy into it.

All the methods in this video are well known also by the layman, the performance is not so good.

Bad very bad!

Just plain disgraceful. The Balducci levitation is probably one of the most widely exposed secrets in magic. (IMO) What could they possibly provide that hasn't been covered exhaustively already?

Do all releases need to play to your ignorance of what's come before? Paul Harris was the person who popularized the Balducci levitation among magicians and was, I believe, the first to put it on a video.

This seems like an inexpensive DVD aimed at people who are unfamiliar with the technique.

Thank goodness we have someone on the Café who is more than a new kid on the block.

You are correct Magicsquared, I have the Paul Harris video somewhere and I remember trying this on people at least 20 yrs ago(ok maybe just 15)and when they started laughing I thought it was because they could see what I was doing but it was because they were amazed.

Sadly this has been over exposed and many lay people know the secret.

The reason we see today a DVD with the Balducci Levitation is because many people will buy it.
Seriously guys...a dvd, an Ebook, a book comes out every day...why??? people buy anything.
Look at Aldo C. He puts out DVD every month for 10 dollars each teaching us tricks printed in books or magazines??? Is it ok because it's Aldo.
Come on... show me something new.
It is really unbelievable what I see these days.
Magic is no more an art...it is a business...you make money producing stupid tricks, you make money selling stupid ebooks teaching nothing new.
I'm not going to mention any names here but some suppose-to-be magicians should really think twice before selling anything.

I'm going to stop here...I think I'm going to write an eBook or may be make a DVD...
