For table tops, bar tops etc. with no table cloth. I use the street shells and these seem okay, but a little slippery and they slide around a bit.
Which shells do you prefer in these situations with no close up mat ? |

Seems like it would have much to do with the pea as well. What are you using? The perfect pea?
If so, how does react on the hard surface for you?

I think you will be amazed on how well the bottom ridge shells work on a hard surface and are easy to pick up with the natural indents on both sides of the shell. The big feature is they have an entire flat surface without any visual clues. This new design shell brings the feature that the pea will only come out when you want it too. The shell and soft pea can even be handled by the spectator to see that everything appears to be fair, if need be. As they are fair till you make them unfair. The shells can work on hard or soft surfaces. They work the best on a hard surface because of the ridge design. The peas also work great on a hard surface and are easy to handle in the hand. My background in magic was mainly performing behind a bar or on table tops like you. There is much more on them on the Café if you want to know more. Just put in Bottom Ridge shells in the search engine.
Hope this helped, Al

SFS shells work okay on flat surfaces as do the LaMaggiore.
But I'd say the bottom ridge shells work the best on flat surfaces. The pea as well. a joy to use. |

Bottom Ridge work better than Street Shells? Is there a noticeable difference?

You are the only one that can answer that question. Myself I have tried all the shells and peas on the market and I only use the bottom ridge shells and peas now.
I find them to work for me better in all areas. They work great on a hard flat surface, to answer your question. Go to their site and read the features. http://www.3shells.com |
