Yes. A lot of people forget that a hand held mic, in many ways, can serve the same covert purposes as a magicians wand, particularly for providing cover.

My standard rider includes BOTH a hand held mike and a lapel/headset mike. This allows the MC to announce me, lets the audience hear a spectator on stage and gives me the opportunity to "get on it" if I want that affect.
With today's modern equipment, there is rarely any conflicts between the 2 systems. |

Yes. I've often used both and hand-held and a lapel mic. The switch on the lapel mic is easily turned on or off as needed.

It was wildly successful. They had to bring out more seats they were so packed. Held the audiences attention for 2 hours and got a standing o at the end... CLOUD NINING. Back to do it again tonight!!! thanks for everyone's help on here, ill hopefully have some of the footage up by Monday!
