I agree...great news!
I think it will be a fine memorial and one that will instill a new sense of nationalism. My hope is that beyond nationalism, it will evoke a spirit of humanism worldwide. |

Yeah creating the "biggest, best tower in all of the world" might not be the best thing since that is what got us into this mess.

Dangerously close to a political discussion...how about we leave it at "what an amazing feat of engineering".

I heard it will have a windmill on the top.I don't know why?
I hope it looks nice and I'm sure it will be an amazing feat of engineering too. I went up the empire state and that was bad enough,I hate heights. But what an experiance,New York is one crazy town. |

It will have several wind turbines which will be used to generate 20% of the buildings electricity.

It looks like a big flash light.... Cool. I don't know of anyone who would want to work in it. I would be scared.

Will this be the new world trade centre/commerce centre or just a monument?
'I heard it will have a windmill on the top.'-kilgourpower. Maybe they are trying to recreate a bit of New York's past seeing as it used to be called New Amsterdam. My dad works in Harlem (the original in Holland that is!). |
