Hey guys. I love this gem from Osterland. Anybody familiar with it? Anybody here performing it?

Yes its a great trick, not very practical for walk around though. I also think signing the sugar packet is unnecessary.

Why do you think it's unnecessary?

#1 - I did Sweet and Low for years in restaurants as did many performers after Richard contributed the trick to The Magic Menu back in the early 90s. In fact, Richard developed the effect as a walk-around trick when he was working Sunday brunches at a luxury hotel here in Connecticut.
#2 - It's Osterlind...not Osterland. |

I use this now and again and think it is a brilliant piece of work. I think much of the strength of this trick is because it is signed. It just adds a layer of 'impossible' to it as the specs can 'see' you hands clearly empty etc.
A great piece of magic. If you like this, you may also want to check out Dave Bonsall's sugar packet routine (from Propdog.co.uk). |

I perform this very often. I'll have to disagree on the opinion that signing isn't necessary, unless you w. I also believe that to be extremely important. I also use it for walk around. I have a secret compartment built in to my pants to ditch the sugar afterwards.

My message seemd to get cut off somehow. What I was saying was that I disagree that signing isn't necessary unless you want them to assume a switch. Signing deletes tht possibility in their mind.

Richard put a lot of thought into this little routine.
