(Sorry I had this in "Penny For Your Thoughts" at first without thinking. The review belongs here though. YES I do believe you need both parts to understand this review. It's the best thing since coming back I have to offer to the Café, besides my "Imp Pad Ratings" post ... lol)

(PART 1 OF MY REVIEW OF JOHN RIGG'S "MESSIAH PROCESS" BOOK)

This is ANOTHER one of John Riggs GREAT Books as it is well written, and full of great facts. It made me think a Great Deal about things, and some things were not so good as you'll read in PART 2 of this Book Review. I'm a Self-Admitted Mentalism / Psychic Entertainment JUNKIE as probably most of us are, ALWAYS on the Look Out for NEXT BEST Method, Book, DVD ... etc. to give our audiences the thrill of the "Paranormal". He goes through a Cast of Characters too, like "Believers", "Disbelievers", "Professional De-bunkers", like James Randi. The book talks of his GREAT De-Bunking of James Hydrick. Mr. Riggs though looked into Mr. Hydrick's and found out he had a history of abuse and neglect. Mr. Riggs then rightly so asked Randi if he knew that about Mr. Hydrick would he of "outed" him differently? Randi said yes. He goes into the Placebo Effect about a guy with Cancer I think you'll love though sad at the end. He then talks about people Taking the MMPI1 or 2, or the Meyers Briggs. He talks about how the Extroverts, and Introverts are different and how you can do readings for each of these people to make it seem more real. Myself I've taken this test by a Psychologist, as well, as other Personality Tests. I Personally am a INFP, though I've tested once as a ENFP. So I personally believe I'm a E/I-N-F-P, as my Introversion, and Extroversion changes. With this test the key points though are the two middle letters. You see "NF's" are more "Idealistic" and I'll admit that is TRUE about me though I consider myself ALSO a "realist". On the Enneagram I'm a 4 with a Wing 5. The Enneagram has 9 types. I really liked this part of the book, as I've read so much on Psychology, Psychiatry (I have the DSM-IV), and Psycho-pharmacology. The last is of course is the Specialty of knowing Psychiatric Medication well. He also talks about those who are "Fantasy - Prone", and those (LIKE ME) who are Believers BUT ON THEIR OWN TERMS. Myself I'm like 90% Skeptical, and 10% a believer. See I'm into people like James Randi, Banachek, and Derren Brown (See his "Carlos Project" which is good), and BUSTING those like Uri Gellar (which happened on National T.V. but yet people still believe, though I heard a few years ago he finally admitted to using trickery, but THIS BOOK was written in 1997), Peter Popoff, and those who PREY on those who are Sick and Mourning. I'm a believer in the Sense that I KNOW a Jesus Christ lived fully died, and literally ROSE FROM THE DEAD. I believe in that 110%. Also I believe in the saying "Anything Is Possible".

Mr. Riggs talks about those NOT to do "Readings" for like those who are very Mentally Ill, or Psychopaths. Look, I'm NOT saying John does not know the term Psychopath, I'm not sure how much Psychiatric-ally John knows, but the term Psychopath, or Sociopath, or it's REAL name according to the DSM (The Psychiatrist Bible) The Antisocial Personality Disorder. These are the people who have the EXTREME Personality Disorder, are the Ted Bundy's, John Wayne Gacy's, The B.T.K.'s of the world. If someone TRULY is a Psychopath, they have no conscience, no remorse, often a history of theft, violence, pathological lying, cannot hold down a job. They are VERY MANIPULATIVE. Often as children they had the Characteristics of the "Homicidal Triad" which is Late Bed-Wetting, Fire Setting, and Extreme Cruelty and (or) Killing of Animals. So as you can see it ONLY takes someone with training to Diagnose that in a person. These people though more rare hide under the radar pretty good.

He talks about this guy named Solitaire who started out as a Legitimate Magician, and a Good One. Then came this guy who charged way, way lower, stole other Magicians Gigs. The thing was he'd steal there Alcohol or anything else, and perform BADLY under the influence. So this guy Solitaire basically said "F" it. If people liked getting screwed so much, that he'd screw them, and that they'd like it. So he totally re-invented himself. He became a person who "Loved Everybody" you know the type. He changed his dress and just everything about him. He knew where his "prospects" were. They were like the Psychic Junkies, Psychic Fairs, Unitarian Churches ... etc. A LOT of Women liked him. They bought him lots of gifts, gave him money, and even sex. He was a Fraud and KNEW IT. He just kind of "Snapped" sadly as with proper guidance he would've been a TERRIFIC Magician, Mentalist and learned BETTER Marketing.

He then writes about the Indians and their Rituals which YES some of it depended on Sleight Of Hand. The writing though of the "Trances" these Medicine Men went through would've terrified me personally. See part 2 of this review. I will mention briefly and jump to the back of the book, where the guy who wrote The Dead Sea Scrolls I believe wrote a book called "The Passover Plot". It talks about how Jesus could've faked his death ... etc. I don't put much credence into that type of thinking though. I never even read the Da Vinci Code, and I never will. I mean I know the basis.

Them there was Adam Heart the Vietnam Veteran who while in the Armed Forces, Specialized in the "Thought Control" (Which still exists as I have True FBI PDF's on "Brainwashing" I believe, and a book by Ron Hubbard the guy I believe who started Scientology.) The Hubbard Book talked about "Better Methods". Isolation when "Bad", not feeding people, violence in extreme cases. Or when doing good they reward you and really pump up your ego. Your Basic Psychology pretty much. You ALWAYS have a answer to a question. If people start talking about other things a good phrase to fire back is "How is that working for you" ... etc.)

That was another thing about the book, I didn't care for. I'm not sure if it is Adam Heart or John Riggs, that suggests you can use Hypnosis Alone to Brainwash. I will say though as a Practitioner of Hypnotherapy being Certified since 9-7-07, but officially started my study of it in 05-06, I can and will say if in the RIGHT HANDS Hypnosis is a powerful tool, to HELP people most of all, or to ENTERTAIN. As most of you all know a person even in the Deepest Stages of Hypnosis CANNOT be MADE to do anything against their morals CASE CLOSED. I'll admit I even liked the part where he has them write on a pad what "Cue Word" most helps them drop you into trance, the one where you tell them to seal it so there is no way for you to use that word. I would not use the "Flowers Induction" but use what (who I consider to be my Hypnosis Teacher is Jerry Kein over 50+ years experience great course, especially "Ultra - Height") my Hypnosis Teacher says really is the BEST Induction and that of course is the Elman Induction. After doing a 10-1 Deepener, and "Anchoring" the person to this Somnambulistic State I'd then have them write down a favorite word of theirs on a sheet and a envelope to put and seal it in as my back is turned. I'd then say when I snap my fingers your eyes will close again. I will say that the word is a special word. I would say (after peeking of course) that whenever it's safe and whenever I say "Rock On" (A Favorite Phrase of mine lol) and ONLY I say Rock On will you go into the deep, deepest of Hypnotic States ... etc. If you know Hypnosis, I'm just giving them a Post Hypnotic Suggestion so they can re-enter deep hypnosis in seconds literally. It's a tricky way of doing it, but even in Hypnosis there is a small bag of tricks you can use to HELP it along. So NO with Hypnosis alone you CANNOT come up with a cult. Adam used many things like Pot and Tarot Cards. He did lots of Conditioning

The most Dangerous parts was in Adam's Heart's Diaries (the parts I had to take medication for Panic Attacks). It's hard to get into. He wanted to start a group of people I WON'T use the word Hypnosis because as I said you cannot make anyone through Hypnosis alone do anything against their will. Through Brain Washing he wanted to create Alter Personalities within people that even the people themselves don't know about. They would have like these "Handlers". They would just say a certain word to bring Personality "B" out and they'd talk. He might send Personality "B" across Seas to talk to someone about TOP SECRET information. (See Adam Heart was a Vietnam Vet and worked in the "Mind Control" Sector WHICH THEY DID AND STILL HAVE). Then Personalty "B" (The Alter) would come back, and he'd be given a "Cue Word" and the normal personality would come out. Like I said he was programmed NOT to know about personality "B" or scarier what that personality did. These were just Journal Ramblings though. Do I think this is possible and does happen now? Scarily YES.

(PART 2 OF REVIEW MY OWN JOURNEY INTO THE OCCULT)

Killer Book, though at certain points I had mild Panic Attacks. That was getting deeply into the Adam Heart Story. I'll do my own review though. Yes EXCEPT (Astrology) "New Agey" type stuff sends chills down my back. Plus from roughly 18-21 I was a real "Pot Head" and yes for those years I did enjoy it tremendously especially the Music, eating a lot with the munchies ... etc. Then the last few times I smoked Pot I had these EXTREME PANIC ATTACKS. I had, had a few serious panic attacks without the Pot, but nope I remember one lasted 3 hours straight. Book wise Panic Attacks are said to only last 5-30 minutes. That's B.S. During this one I saw myself burning in Hell for Eternity. (This is when I was Southern Baptist / Assembly of God as I was raised, then Easter of 97 I became a confirmed Catholic, and feel I am where God needs me.) I had finally fallen asleep when I awoke I was forever changed. I DON'T become Psychotic in a Attack, but during the Very SEVERE ones I "Depersonalize" questioning the realities of things. I get scared of everything and everyONE. Once I questioned if my whole reality is a illusion and I'm just floating ALONE in Space ALONE. By That Time I go to the Emergency Room where I'm sedated with like Ativan, or Xanax. It's SOOOOOOO Terrifying. I'm either literally Scared stiff where I move very little, or I pace a whole lot and am in and out of the "John" a lot. Luckily though the good news is, is that the past 10 years my Doctor has put me on Clonazepam (Klonopin) a Benzodiazapine like Valium. I've been on 1mg in the AM, and 2MGS at Night. Then as a PRN (Take ONLY As Needed) I can take 1MG of Ativan (Lorazepam) up to twice daily.

Yes I know it's a very addictive Medicine only to be used in the very short term. My Doctor though even with my History of addiction (Opiates / Pain Pills) knows I do NOT abuse it which I don't. When not on it I LIVED in Terror, and what is called Anticipatory Anxiety (Fear of having another Panic Attack). As I was in such Deep Fear Paralyzing almost it led to Deep Depressions. Also I have a "Shaky Past" as far as my faith. At age 19 for like 6 months I actually DID study Wicca. This lady moved into the neighborhood and she was into it. She was older like late 30's and her kids liked my Magic as did she Sleight Of Hand. We were both into Astrology, and that's was the pull. She was into Crystals, Tarot Cards ... etc. So I got into "that CRAP" and one Night I did a "Love Spell" from a book I Think ? that was by a well known Salem, Boston Witch Laurie Cabot. I even visited her store once "Crow Haven's Corner" I payed like $50.00 for a 15 minute Card Reading (The Lady used Aliester Crowley Cards, the Self Proclaimed "Beast", and most evil guy in the world. That there should've told me the type of people into this stuff), I also bought this VERY GOOD if I admit myself "Love Potion". Anyway with this Love spell you had to first bathe in Rose Petals I think.

The actual Spell involved Lighting Candles and using Certain Tarot Cards. I had got heavily into that too. I just used the Rider Waite, and slept with them under my pillow the first 3 days to align energies. So after I did that "Love Spell" I laid in bed and out on nowhere I had one of the WORST Panic Attacks you could imagine. I had thought I had opened up the Gates of Hell in my Basement and that my house was now full of all these evil entities. Right that minute I got hold of ANYTHING that was Wiccan, New Agey, The Satanic Bible (I ONLY got just to study it, but NOT study it in the way you think, you know the way a Christian Studies his Bible, NO not that way), My Tarot Cards ... etc. I wanted to burn it all to be honest but I put that big garbage bag full of the "EVIL" which to me it all truly is with the trash in another trash pile. I was still having the Panic Attack. I just laid in bed praying to JESUS CHRIST, while hugging my Bible. I couldn't even go to school the next day. So yes you can say I sort of know BOTH sides of the coin so to speak. I'm so Happy being Christian though and having repented of my evil-doing. Like I said though Astrology to ME at least is different. Man cannot really Manipulate the Sun, Moon, and Stars like Tarot Cards, or Runes, for instance, and there is no inherent "Evil Force" in them. Also I've been studying, and practicing Astrology since roughly age 14, so one year before I got into Magic, and Mentalism. I LOVE Magic, Mentalism, and Hypnosis.

I Overall Rate this Book a 8. You will NOT Regret getting this book.

God Bless, Ed

One IMPORTANT thing I forgot to add in this Review is the awesome work of "The Pendulum". There is so much BONA FIDE (if you're a Hypnotist you know what I mean) work, you can do with the Pendulum. While NOT a key to "Demons" it surely is a key to the Subconscious mind. You can ask maybe 20 Yes / No questions for instance to find a lost item. There are some people who truly do not know how they are feeling and if they are ready for so, and so, and the Pendulum can help with that type of stuff. Once in one of my Hypnosis Videos on youtube I showed my viewers how they worked and invited them to pause and make one up. Mine Pendulum happens to be a fake engagement ring I had found somewhere at the end of a 7 1/2 foot necklace, and as it's a necklace my quote "string" is doubled up mini small link chain. I then said if they wanted to find out if they are of the "Imaginative / Visual Type" Versus the "Analytical Type" to try the experiment I'll tell you now. You hold the Pendulum Straight being VERY CAREFUL not to move a muscle. I then said think circle and picture your Pendulum Circling. Mine was Circling Wide of course. I then said to Imagine it just swinging back and forth in a line, mine of course was at it. I then simply said TRUTHFULLY that the more your Pendulum Swung the more Imaginative and Visual you are. Also that if it didn't circle or swing more than the width of a Half Dollar the more Analytical they were. At that point in making my videos I was describing and demonstrating the DIFFERENT Hypnotic Inductions that are out there. Myself I already KNOW out of the 5 "Representational Systems" I'm Kinethestic and Visual the most. Yes the guy Adam Heart the one who had the Most Dangerous Cult used the Pendulum a lot. He also did "Mentalism Techniques" but gave the credit to OTHERS, like loops or some thing to "move objects".

Sorry, God Bless, Ed

No questions really? Well we ALL know ALL of John Riggs books are at LEAST a 7 or higher. I figured you might've had questions though.

God Bless, Ed.

P.S. Thanks for reading my review though.

You're welcome. I've always hoped that John would make a 2000 page compilation of his work. Thanks for your slant on it, you have an approach that others may not have, so it was interesting reading.

He did sort of. He compiled all his previous work into two big fat books of amazing work with annotations and more...
