I store it away. My job is to entertain, I don't want my phone to be a distraction by ringing or vibrating when I'm in the middle of an effect.

Go to the local dollar store, they have a rack end display of all kinds of cell phone holders for the belt, waist, etc.

I agree, if you don't have a trick that uses your cell phone, turn it off and leave it in your case or car.

On the same topic, what else do you leave and what do you carry with you?
Do you take only your car key off your massive keychain and leave the rest in the car?
Do you leave your regular wallet and only carry magic wallet(s)?

I keep my keys with me, since I need some of them to open gig cases. I carry few keys. I prefer to keep my wallet on me. I suppose one could hide them in their car, if they have keyless entry. But, for events with valet parking, you'll probably want to keep the items on you.

Alan,

Yes, I like to hold onto my phone, keys and wallet at gigs. Right now, I'm trying a travel belt - basically a pouch worn under the clothes. A bit hard to get to but leaves the pockets free and useable for props, loads, etc

You could pick up a High Caliber Holster and free up some pockets

Quite a few magicians today do magic with their phones so it has become a prop/tool as well

Phone and keys stay in my bag, which is secured behind the bar.

Request always a preparation room, I leave everything there and the money in the car

I take my single car door key with me and lock the rest in the glove box. As for my phone, I start getting the shakes if I don't have it with me at all times, lol, so that goes into a vest pocket (not a back pocket as I learned the hard way years ago!)

I sewed more pockets in my vest. I did the same thing with my jackets. I bet I have 15 pockets on the inside of my jacket.
