Just saw the news. Hope all is well with our Californian members.

I hope you guys are okay. Geez, right before Christmas too.

Not sure what a 6.5 feels like but that shockwave was surely felt this morning.

There was an earthquake here in California?

We didn't it feel out here in the Desert. It was on the other side of the San Andreas, which I can see from my house. A 6.5, if you've never felt one, is pretty scary, but having been at ground zero for a 7.5 and been within 25 miles of a 7.3, I can tell you a 6.5 seems small. However, significant damage can result from older unreinforce structures....which many of the older cities in that area have. I think there will be some minor damage and a few structures lost, but not much. I wouldn't be surprised to see some injuries and loss of life due to falling debri..

But out here in earthquake country, we don't even get up from the table for anything less than a 5, we are kind of used to these things...

Still it is a heck of a blow to a state that is already in financial trouble. Just one more thing that will require funds you don't have. Hope the feds can help out (true they don't have any money either, but I have it on good authority they print the stuff).
