Picture this: You are standing in front of three massive magic books, and you have money enough to buy ONE of them.
Mike Caveney’s Wonders Gaetan Bloom’s Full Bloom Magic Christian’s Non Plus Ultra Which ONE would you buy?

It's a tough choice, but I'd have to go with Non-Ultra Plus because of the amazing history involved and Hofzinser's place in magic.

I hear you brothers. Non Plus Ultra would be my choice as well.

Full Bloom costs $100 less than the other two. What else does it come with?

Magic Christian's Non Plus Ultra (easy choice since I have the other two)

I have all three sets and Caveney's Books are still on the top of my list. My next choice would be Full Bloom. Non Plus Ultra is very nice and a fine addition to my Magic Library sitting along side my two volume Houdin biography. But I doubt I'll ever perform any effect in the Hofzinser books or find much, if any of his performance philosophy of use. Whereas there are multiple effects in Caveney's and Bloom's book that will found their way into my performances.

Do we add a book to our library because we can use the magic it contains? Or do we buy the book just for the love of reading it? |

Depends on if we are magicians or dreamers?
