I just gave it a test drive, and it performed beautifully. I searched for a very common word (card) and it returned nearly 13,000 pages of results in less than 10 seconds. It found 318,343 matches from posts that were just a few seconds old all the way to the earliest days of the Café. Considering the size of the database, this is a remarkable feat! Thanks so much Gene! I promise to never unnecessarily make a search that broad ever again, lol!

I have run my own test searches on single words, including the most used word according to the database (787,975 matches), and even that search wasn't too long.
Ok, here's something for all of you: Care to guess what the most used word here is? I'll give you a hint: It is a 3-letter word. Another hint: It is a really common word, but is also one that most people do not think about as being used frequently. And, please, if you are curious about the word, do NOT use the search engine just to check your guess. We don't need that kind of thing happening. 
Somebody kick me off the computer, will ya?

I have always found the search function of the Café so restrictive and difficult that I have always used Google: just type "magic Café" followed by the topic of interest. I've always had great results doing this and have avoided the frustrations of the Café's own search function.
