I'll have to admit that new SWEET trick over at penguin is a nice piece of mentalism.

Ahhh, my reputation has caught up with me. No, no joke.
Matthew Johnson effect. Great impromptu, totally, mentalism.

No tattoos yet. But if I keep buying stuff from Jermay and Matt Johnson I will be forced to get tattoos. I'll tattoo Cashetta on my forearm!

This is also in his penguin lecture. Matthew gave a great lecture if you really want bang for your buck.

I have the penguin lecture, a really cheeky principle used for this, made me grin when I saw the explanation.

This is a great effect, but may not play in some "greasy-spoons." I was going to show this to a friend, at a local greasy-spoon where we get together for lunch once a week. Like many of the diner-type restaurants I've known, this one had a sugar canister, rather than packets. Still a great effect, when packets are available.

If I remember correctly this was in the USA Mind Busters too.

Very clever indeed!

As a mentalist you must always ask yourself what if! And throughout your life you should seek to ask and answer this question over and over again, only then will your wildest dreams become a reality!

Yep, it was in USAMB. Matt has improved the handling since then. Cheers.

This seemed to obvious on the method. I picked it up right away. There is only one explanation and I have a feeling with just a few brain cells someone can pick up on this.

Nice to meet you, Cashetta. I heard you were wonderful at Mindvention. Wish I could have been there.

I had an idea for a different reveal for this.

Open the packets and pour the sugar into a small pile on the table.
Hover your hand over the pile for a few moments.
Then flatten the pile with your palm, and draw the correct image in the sugar.

I agree that the method seems transparent. I don't think that a spectator would figure it out in the moment, but might figure it out if he or she tries to recreate the effect while telling someone what you did. Steven's idea is a much stronger reveal.

Thanks twistedace.

One side effect of my reveal is that it could also help to prevent someone stumbling on what they think may be the method.
You could still do all the temple touching and stuff.
Just draw it in the sugar instead of speaking the reveal.
