Las Vegas odds to win the Super Bowl were released yesterday. The top three:
Seattle Seahawks at 3 to 1. New Orleans Saints at 7 to 2 Denver Broncos at 4 to 1 And Monday night the Saints play the Seahawks. Could be one of the best games of the season. Go Hawks! |

Don't look now, but my hometown Bengals have a real shot, I think. And my favorite team, the Patriots, aren't bad either. Plus, the Pats beat the Broncos. So tell Vegas to...nevermind.

That is an over round book but I guess there are other runners.

Well in that case you can make 33% profit by backing the three.

An interesting thing about the Seahawks is that is seems they play much better when they are up against tough teams. That, together with the 12th man factor that is very significant in all of their home games, is why I think Seattle should do well Monday night.
(And there's no doubt that New Orleans is a very strong team. I've always rooted for them, as long as they're not playing Seattle.) |

At the beginning of the Season (before the first game was played) my Brother made a $50.00 bet in Las Vegas, on the Seahawks. My Brother will win $500.00 if the Seahawks make it to the superbowl. I don't know how much he will win if the Seahawks win the superbowl but it will be much more than $500.00 .
If the Seahawks make it to the Superbowl, my Brother is going to buy me a nice bottle of Scotch. Maybe Dinner if the Seahawks win the Superbowl. Go Hawks! Iven ![]()

34 to 7 Seattle over New Orleans.
Pretty impressive I'd say. I'm guessing the Super Bowl odds just changed again. Go Hawks! |

Although I'm not a big American football fan, I have watched a few games this season, since the Seahawks started doing so well. Must say, I'm very impressed! I think they can go all the way.

I was highly impressed with the Sea-Gals and the Gulls.
Seattle is truly the beast of the NFC, not even my beloved Cowboys are at the playing level of this team. Lookout Denver! Drew Brees didn't know what hit him! He can't play in the rain and the crowd noise certainly was a hinderance. They were using picture cards wow! ![]() |

Yes. We regained the Guiness World Record for crown noise last night. (We set it at the beginning of the season, but Kansas City took it away a few weeks later.)
It's hard to believe, isn't it, that Russell Wilson is only in his second year as a pro. |

Baseball-only fans place the following predictions:
The day after the Super Bowl, 95.9 percent of those who watched the game commented more on the commercials, the parties they had, and whether the half-time show s*cked or not than the actual game. The other 4.1 percent who watched are the true football fans. If such a prediction troubles you then you may well be in the 95.9 percent. If it doesn't, you are of the 4.1 percent who are true fans of the game. Two months until Spring Training 2014!!! ;) Vlad PS: Seriously though, the above was made partly in jest. I know there are fans as rabid about football as I am about baseball. And really, to all of you, I hope that the game is a great one!! |

Actually, I'm just as much of a baseball fan as you, Vlad. But also a big football fan, especially when it comes to the Seahawks.
The big difference to me is that it seems like baseball is much better when you are physically at the game. TV just can't capture the distance of those fly balls and home runs. Football, on the other hand, was made for TV. Going to the game usually means you won't be able to see many of the plays., |

I'm a Kansas City fan, but I have to admit Seattle is the best team going right now. I know K.C. will make it to the playoffs, but odds are they won't get very far. As for the noise Seattle has a partially covered atadium, Arrowhead is totally opened, but also Arrowhead is a larger stadium. Anyway, conrats to Seattle and thier fans.

Then, of course, was the earthquake the fans caused. Really. Their stomping was detected by University of Washington seismometers:
