Does anyone manufacturer or sell 3 Card Monarch / 3 Card Prince in smaller than the Prince version? I'm looking for something that'll fit in my doctor's bag for the street.
Also, Any preferences for the better effect for the street: 3 Card Prince, 3 Card Joe, or Kate and Edith? I want a simply exposee, no audience participation. Angle resistant would be a bonus but I can live with bad angles from behind. Any other street jumbo effect with this criteria that is worthy of mentioning, let me know also. Thanks, Adrian |

Using our printing templates, you can make your own cards in any sizes from "Ultra Jumbo" 8.5" x 11" or smaller to fit your bag. We have templates for all of the Jumbo Card Effects in The Wizards' Journal #17 - Jumbo Dutch Looper, Four Card Monte, Jumbo Ultimate Monte. Also The Wizards' Journal #21 for Qua-Fiki's Ace Chaser, and ABC Stung. Wiz J #22 has The Three Card Trick (with Four Cards) which can be made in various sizes. The Wizards' Journal #23 has McFiki's Jumbo Aces and Wild Reindeer Games. All of Qua-Fiki's "Bunny Business" cards can be made the same way, although he has ready-made sets for sale in The Wizards' Journal #25. The process is easy- print out the fronts and backs on heavy photo stock - either glossy or matte finish, and glue fronts to backs with rubber cement and then trim to size. You might want to have a corner punch to make nice rounded corners, but sources for all of that are also given in each of the e-Books.

I do "Stan, Kate and Edith" close-up with poker size cards. (I made the 1 card gaff pretty simply but it works).

As you probably know, Michael Skinner's Ultimate 3 Card Monte was based on an Eddie Taytelbaum routine called “Find the Ace” found in Dai Vernon’s "Ultimate Secrets of Card Magic," compiled by Lewis Ganson (1967). So although the gaffed cards are the same, the presentation and handling is not since all of the previous routines were for regular sized playing cards. Then it gets tricky because with the jumbo cards, there are times when you plainly show that the cards are not gaffed at all. First Spellbinder shows his method of showing the three cards to be completely normal, then I show my method, and then to embarrass both of us, Wiz Kid Qua-Fiki came up with an improvement on both of our versions which he demonstrates in the video. So to answer your question, Mike Skinner's version only works for regular sized playing cards. To perform with ultra jumbo cards and be able to show them ungaffed, you need one of the versions in the e-Book in The Wizards' Journal #17.

Adrian,
I used Reading’s The Only Three Card Trick With Four Cards on the street years ago. I started with Sidewalk Shuffle, but when my set got pinched, I needed to use I gimmicked cards. The routine that came with the jumbo cards was by Fred Kapps. You can easily add moves to make the displays even cleaner. https://youtu.be/_PgdC3QWvF8 Peace Docc |
