Can I wear the trousers that I preform in? Cuz my pockets are huge, like really huge. I think I could fit most of my parlor show into just one pocket. I will give it a try and come back with results!
p.s. If I usually have my shoe as a prop to produce, do I have to have that in my pocket as well? If so, it might be a small problem... |

I'm not sure how big some people's pockets are ... Assuming money is no object:
I'm gonna go with a m***ed deck of cards treated with science friction, along with a selection of gaffs and different backs in a gaffed box (x2 in case of loss or damage and 2 deck effects) TT and silk Sw*mi (and some refills) Flash (paddles) Annihilator Wallet, already loaded with gaff ESP cards, business cards, KK, billets, gaff photos etc Scotch and Soda If I have room: Messado Rings Lifetime of magic and mentalism in that lot ... |

I would like to add Stand Up Monte to my pocket. I'm sure it would fit and it kills.

Never coming back proposes some problems:
Your deck of playing cards becomes well worn to the point of becoming useless for performance. Same holds true for gaffed cards or packet tricks. Your Sharpie or pen runs out of ink. Sw*mis run out of whatever. Rubber bands become cruddy or break. (Same thing with ITr's or L**ps) Are you allowed to restock at some point? I mean, we do live in an age where we can order on our phones and sometime soon we may be getting items droppeed to our house via drones.

Dose not matter how well you wrap up cards if it rains there going to get wet. Even dampness can give card trouble.
Enjoy your magic,
and let others enjoy it as well! |

Lol- awesome. Great points! Let's say that you get a drone resupply in 3 months and you're going somewhere perpetually sunny!
And I am loving these answers- some great stuff that I've either forgotten about or have been on my "need-to-learn" list. It's also cool to see what everyone really likes.

Granted I did not go out of my way to get them, but I had my eyes wide open. Many countries don't have a Walmart on every block where you can buy anything. Here's my list: Extreme Burn Spare Cash My favorite impression device Small coin purse with 4 halves, 1 English penny, flipper, shell, and C/S Jumbo half Loops Thumb Tip 2 D'lites Rubber bands Large handkerchief Sponge balls Shoelace Small Bic lighter Fan Sharpie Last but not least a deck of cards with some gaffs thrown in. |

Ok, I tried it out, and this is what I got into my pocket:
- Omni deck - Deck of cards - Invisible deck - Some ladybug sponge balls (awesome, thanks magic café for that) - Jumbo coin - Himber ring - Pen - Two bang guns and a tt (for the "safe bullet catch") - Wow - Ninja rings I also did manage to get most of that stuff into my shoe and then my shoe into my pocket, but that wasn't to comfy... But in regular trousers, I would bring: - A deck of cards - Omni deck - A pen - Ladybug sponge balls |

Lucky for me I'm wearing cargo pants. Front pocket has:
Chop Cup Deck of Cards Sharpie Flash Pen Nest of Wallets Haunted Key P##k Wallet a few packet tricks Some yellow rubber bands 4 sponge balls I think that's all I need. These items would give me the most bang for the buck (space taken in this case).

To prevent forgetting ( and as a backup) I travel with a small bag of props, somewhere between a pocket and a shoe's worth.
Enough to do a few effects while I wait for my bags to arrive |

Going on the original premise of a single trouser pocket:
4 half dollars 1 Old English penny 1 C/S coin 3 sponge balls a bicycle deck with an extra and an opposite back (for chicago opener) some rubber bands wrapped around the deck (or kept in a little bag) TT filled with silk Not sure how I could fit much else in, other than more coins. Where do you guys buy your trousers/pants?!? |

My first inclination is to cheat by modifying the pocket, but in the spirit of playing along...
Deck of cards My coin purse with its usual contents TT My IT set-up Extreme Burn My usual sponge ball set A little wallet containing a few of my favorite packet tricks My cups and balls (I checked--yes, they will fit, as long as the cups are nested and other items are stashed inside) Assuming I can't carry these elsewhere or find them locally: rubber bands, lots of business cards, sharpie I would also cheat a little by putting all of my money and ID and credit cards and such in my magic wallet, and put my Ring Flight on my keys. I wouldn't be happy without the rest of my things (in fact, I can think of several already that I'd be very upset without), but those things are enough to keep me magical for a very long time indeed.
