Hi All,
I'am having my 1st Toppit "installed" and I'am starting to pre-plan for it's arrival. I think I'll start with the Deck Vanish, the deck vanishing after it's use seems so logical. What are some of your favorite uses for this "miracle maker"? Smile

I agree with David on the use of the topit. 80% of my topit use is to ditch a gimmick. sometimes at the end of a matix routine I will change the last coin into a jumbo coin. as it is produced, the half dollar goes into the topit. I have the Ammar book and DVD. they are both great. You can also check out the Jay Scott Berry Topits and Pockets DVD. it also has some great material.
Good luck.

Sorry if this sounds stupid but I'm not positive on what a topit is. from what I'v heard it is a device for vanishing, producing and changing things.

Am I correct?

:) Happy Posting! Smile

It is a device used for vanishes, switches, transpositions of all sorts of objects from coins to beer bottles. You can learn how to use it properly with the Ammar tapes, or the Carl Clouiter tapes. Also there are many different topit designs out there, but all are based - in some way or another - on the Ammar design.

You'd also benefit from Bob Fitch's new 3-DVD set on the Topit, which is full of great techniques and effects. He also passes along a lot of useful magical wisdom along the way.

The topit is a very powerful utility item for a magician to gain skill in handling. I agree with the others that the best strategic use of the topit may be unseen to facilitate your routines as opposed to the overt useages. My first exposure to the topit was Michael Ammar's materials which are absolutely excellent. While I havent seen them yet, Im sure that Bob Fitch's DVDs are also top notch. Jump in and start learning. The topit will pay off in unsearchable magical riches!

I just finished watching the 3 vols of Topit workshop by Bob Fitch. I like the Golf ball routine best. If you work with multiplying balls, you should take a look at this.

Wally, I guess you might want to go for the Michael Ammar dvd since he is the leading authority on topit work.

Please feel free to check out my effect called Raw Choice". Its one of my effects published at http://www.mastermagic.info . It utilizes the topit. You may leave comments if you wish on that site. Enjoy my friends.

I also have a one card 4 coins matrix effect called Raytrix , wherein sleeving and Topit are used. You can check with our good friend Vinny The Godfather .if interested please check http://raytrix.irio.net for a complete review of my dvd

Sorry to insert that guys, we are talking abou topit after all. I strongly suggest the Ammar Tapes. The foundation that this set will give you is so strong. Ammar is the authority IMO. Cloutier made it an art and Mr. Fitch explored the possibilities of the topit.

peace ,

I myself never use topit,,, However I purchased Rannies's Ratrix dvd . Must say that his matix effect is very unique, his twist is different . As Rannie stated he does use the topit along with his sleeving technique, which makes the effect seem very baffling. The dvd is excellent and the material is workable in the real world..
The cloutier videos are highly recommenfed he is a mastewr os sleeving and the topit gimmick..

This is a amazing topit routine:
vanish a glass full with liquid under a paper napkin in a blink. Just use a rubber lock under that napkin to secure the liquid berfore yo toss it in your topit. Perfect routine for bar magic and restaurant magic.
