What popular things can you remember about the 70's?
Some popular things I can remember are the following: 1. The celebration of America's 200th birthday, 1976. 2. Gas stations had full time service only. 3. Gasoline and cigarettes were under $1.00. |

Led Zeppelin was popular in the 1970s. That helped me keep my sanity when disco came on the scene.

You may be aware that driving a cab in NYC is not a delicate occupation. (Let's put it this way--the Danny DeVito portrayal in the TV series Taxi was phony because his character was too nice.) Anyway, no way I was going to drive one of those babies. At least once a week, I'd pull into the garage at the end of my shift and see a totaled Gremlin crunched up being towed into the garage. If you didn't pay off the dispatcher, you could well end up in one of those.

If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

It was certainly a popular topic of conversation with my friends with low draft numbers. |
