Sorry if this is a repeat topic, but how fast have you guys solved the infamous Rubik's Cube?
I think my fastest was just over 1 minute, and on average I take 2 minutes to unscramble it.
I saw on television that the world record is under 20 seconds, that's just amazing.

I think I heard someone claiming that he tried billions of patterns with a computer and at most it took 25 moves to solve a patern. he conjectured that 27 would be the upper limit.
he also claimed that on average his software can do it in 20 moves.
he used to have a web site with the software to DL, bt that was many years ago, maybe someone remembers and can help here...
