Hi,
Ive been Lucky enough to get my hands on a mint XL Posey SJ originally from Cannons, don't think its even seen more than a few shows use to be honest if at all! (Canvas is totaly stiff not soft at all). That aside it was a buy it or wait again for ages for one to come along. Trying it on today the XL appears big n baggy on me despite me being 6f 6I and 230LB. So I recon washing it is an option to see if I can shrink it a bit any advise on making it a bit smaller with out damaging it? Anyone else have this Issue and any advise on how best if at all to try? Thanks

Go to a shoe maker and have it taken in. If there is any leather, I do not think so, do not soak or wash it
Best of luck. D

What a find!!!
I agree with Dick Brookz! Go to a shoemaker--or someone experienced in working with canvas and have it altered. I'm still using an Abbott Jkt (years!). It's a bit "big" on me, I don't mention it, and no one, onstage assistant or anyone in the audience, has ever mentioned it. Jay Marshall, SID RADNER, and I were sitting in the audience at a HOUDINI CLUB weekend (about 30 years ago) and a young smart aleck kid took "forever" to get out of a "skin tight" jacket. The performance went right into the toilet. Sid remarked, "Let's get two pair of BEAN GIANTS and put them on him "face to face"!

Well washed it, as specified on the label and tumble dryed it partialy on low heat as on the label. Very slight reduction in its size but more flexible thankfully. Label sated wash at 70c and dry on low heat but washed it at 30c not wanting to risk have it ruined.
Came out fine Il ask about it being taken in a bit as suggested. but the force of using it and tension etc I fear may rip out the stiching on the alteration if not done right.
