Check out Colombini's Ring And Rope routines found at http://www.WildColombini.com.

BTW, they don't have much to do with Card Magic. Smile

I do a ring routine that uses a lot of elements from Justin Miller's "Divorce." There is some strong stuff in there.

My all-time favorite is one with no published name (to my knowledge). Place the ring on the tip of your index finger and cover with a pocket hanky/napkin. Your other hand is far away. Snap your fingers and the ring visibly penetrates the material to sit on the finger and rest on the outside. Impromptu with any ring. Easy to follow up with other ring effects

I learned this from Harry Shilling in 1958 and have performed it hundreds of times.

It seems an interesting idea. I have never see it somewhere else.
Is it in a book?

Reminds me of an old thimble trick from one of the Bruce Elliott books.

Funsway...This sounds a bit like a thimble "move" that I saw in an old magazine eons ago. I don't think it's in Bruce Elliots books, but I'll check tonight. I adapted the move to a coin penetration thru a silk. It's now in BOBO (Coin rise through handkerchief). I never thought it was anything "special" until I fooled JOHN MULHOLLAND with it in New York in 1964. J.B. and John were talking and I sneaked into the conversation and asked J.B. if he had seen it. MULHOLLAND blinked and said: "Do that again"!!!

I only met Harry Shilling once, in Wichita KS, when Charle Miller, Conrad Haden and I sessioned for a whole afternoon. It was a GREAT afternoon!!!
