I was told their is no way the test the button 3 V batts that are used in the MD.
I have a batt. tester from Rat Shack and it has a tester for the 3 V's but I was told that is not accurate. Is their a separate kind of tester for those? Any info. would be appreciated.

If the 3v battery is a lithium cell it is very hard to test it. Your meter is probably as accurate as any. The best way to test a lithium battery is with a pulse test 400 ohms or less, but now we're getting to technical. Lithium battery's pretty much show the same voltage and current right up till they go dead and then just drop off. You might try one of these. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/121066695984?lpid=82

There is no real good way to test a CR2032. Just change every 15-20 performance hours on the receiver
