I've been thinking recently about several coin/ring/card in ... routines
but then it occurred to me what if the chop cup finished with the ball inside the fruit, as though the fruit had not replaced but was in fact around the ball? ...or would this just be taking it further than needed, & possibly even making the end weaker? Thanks Ian |

Maybe not weaker but definitely unnecessarily messier.

It may depend on what comes next. If this is a transition to your next effect if could be wondrous. If it is a finale' then the mess may detract from any impact or memory of the magic.
For most the FINAL load is just that -- meant to leave a lasting impression of astonishment and surprise. Now if you did a bill to fruit effect, but when cutting the fruit discover a ball inside ... then -- your confused self could use the water in your drinking glass to wash the ball. Suddenly, magic begins to happen with the ball when you attempt to get rid of it, with the ball returning to the cup. Finally, the fruit appears -- taking you back to the beginning. You cut it open and find the missing bill. Now it would make sense!

Doesn't Craig Perry have a routine that involves something like this?
