Hello fellow magician,

This may sound silly, however, bear in mind that I have no experience in silk magic. I am looking for a way to make something appear under a silk. I will eventually need a regular sized teddy bear to appear under it. So I am wondering, where can I learn a simple effect of showing both sides of the silk, then pulling it away, and revealing the stuffed toy?

Thank you in advanced!

No, it will be a walk around. I can give you an example. In this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOOueUDwGdg), Stuart does his routine and then, at the end, makes a dog appear under the silk. I need to accomplish the same effect.

Thanks!

Start with a small toy, candy bar, lemon, etc. and work your way up to larger sizes gradually as you develop confidence.

I'm not sure what that means.. I assume they are tutorials but could you provide a link or a name of the creator?

You are not looking for a silk, but foulard, which is a much bigger cloth or scarf, as in 36 inch by 36 inch to cover such a large object.

I don't know of any resources, as this could not be done surrounded, as the people in the background were being polite for their child.

They don't sell Appearing Bowls of Water and such anymore, but they did not come with much instruction on producing them. Magicians just had to work out their own handlings.

We do this for kids in the hospital. What is used is THIS (Improved) to produce a stuffed animal. The Cargo space is about like a half gallon milk bottle.

We assume that we must work surrounded.

Where can I get THIS (improved). If you do not want to say it out here, you could PM me. But google gave me nothing when I searched. I am baffled...

Don't be baffled, google is not a magician's handbook!
You could p.m. Hughes (flower) Magic or Bob Sanders,
because they can help you out.

There is a variation of T.H.I.S. by Paul Kozak called T.H.A.T.

But you still have to pick up the silks from a table--or have them brought out to you by an assistant.
