Hi John, my favourite Close-up routine I do is a card to everywhere thing that I've been doing fir years. It's kinda got bigger and bigger with the mire I've added to it. Years ago it started as a signed card to pocket and I 'jazzed' with it in bars and restaurants. I'm sure you get the idea, the card gets signed and shuffled back in the deck, I'd then produce it from my trouser pocket and then my jacket, then their jacket, stuck to my forehead then under the box on the table and so on and so forth. For the finale the card would end up folded up inside my shoe. I remember being at an event years ago and the special client who'd booked me asked if I'd 'just quickly do something on stage' before dinner. I felt obliged but wasn't really set to do anything until the client asked if I'd do 'that card in your shoe thing' . So, I get up and did this routine with the director of the company, and pleased to say, brought the house down. It's a well oiled piece that has lots of one liners and silly gags that just rolls very well, and it's just a deck of regular bikes. I also have a lot of fun with a similar routine but with a coin, like a 'one coin flurry' effect. The coin vanishes and appears from hand to hand, like a 'single coin across' if you will. Once again it's something I've been doing for years and it's well used. I also love performing something I brought out a few years back called Knockout Prediction Outdone, it's like a spectator cuts or deals to their card under impossible conditions, much fun had performing this on stage or close-up.
