What I know of rehab (Which is rather extensive personally.) yes I figured he would need quite bit of medical intervention and steroids make sense.

Silva had to know he'd test positive so it seems that he fought other reasons, probably the payday and to prove to himself that he could return from such a catastrophic injury.
Diaz also probably knew he'd get caught. Both seem to have valid reasons for doing what they did but they face suspension anyway. Tony's suggestion that the UFC should face reality sounds best. Otherwise it's a continuing cycle of lose/lose situations.
If you need fear to enforce your beliefs, then your beliefs are worthless.

I'm waiting for the investigation to be complete. If he cheated then I'm very disappointed because he is one of my favorites

So Ben did not have an unfair advantage. Lance Armstrong competed in an event where everyone else was on the same drugs as himself. Where was his unfair advantage? I can't comment on Mark McGuire, except to say that if you believe baseball is drug free you are living in the nineteenth century. Some of us don't see these people as cheats. What if Silva's positive test came as a result of the drugs he was given to recover from what should have been a career-ending injury? Is he still a cheat? We need to refine our thinking on this.

Armstrong has no victories, Bonds and Mcguire have no records nor are they in the hall of fame. We can argue for months about these guys but its old news. My question is, will Dana White protect UFC's legitimacy and take action against doping? Or is it a Professional Wrestling mentality wear everyone's raging on roids and its ok. |

If Dana does anything that hurts business I will eat my computer. He has spent a ton of money to be legit. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Can we, as sports fans, push for a change in attitudes and rules? Or are people happy with the current situation, where drugs are illegal, and cheating is the norm?

Running things better than boxing?
Understate much? Absolutely! Money mad? Yea probably that as well. Would be tough to argue that.

I saw Chapel Sonnen running his mouth about it. The irony of that is palpable

Any one know if the fight result has been overturned yet?

Well Cesar Gracie seems to think it should be overturned. This again his guy was in violation as well and the thought process seems to be that it wasn't as bad an infraction.
