Of my favourites are living and dead tests, especially if they involve a pendulum. There are too many to name on a single post.
Which are best? What the Big Lizard said: those that work (strongly). I partularly like those that involve the sitters/specs to a high degree; - especially those in which the preformer only acts act the guide and the sitters/spec do all the work. Really, though, the 'correct' answer would be: effects that fits your personality and character which you can perform well, get strong reactions from, and (above all) entertain.

Two completely different animals! They deserve their own seperate threads, which are numerous already on the Café. Try the search function. The point I just made is a discussion all it's own as well. . .

What is your performance character like? What sort of character are you? A body language expert, like Derren Brown? A steampunk style mad professor who invents machines that allow him to read minds? A Witch/warlock? A trance medium or psychic? A super spook, remote viewer?
If we know the type of character you play, or your artist goals, or what abilites you claim to possess; then we will be able to direct you to effects that we think might work for you. We could direct you to all sorts of effects right now, but as many of us have expensive tastes, we could possibly bankrupt you with effects you would never use. It would be better to be able to suggest effects that would work for your performance style, that you would actually use. Regards, Brynmore |

Hi
Thank you ver much I do every performance style... Sometimes with the NLP style and sometimes with the warlock/medium style... I like effects what does look real and does work for sceptics Sorry for my english |

Hi,
If your performance shall "work" for sceptics, I think it's important to have a stable constant stage persona. Everyone will still only think of the things you do as tricks, when you are one day the NLP mentalist and the other day the psychic medium. |

Hi sicnatius
Not really... When I do a mentalism show, I give one or two bizarre things in it... Derren Brown have done the table turning and the Livinh Dead test in his performances-without claiming, that it was a NLP technique |

At least he came here and saved himself from the fires of Hellthe penny forums.
Table tipping isn't an NLP technique though. |

Higley 3 no evil: My most used because it is quick and powerful for all ages.
Witches Almanac: My favorite book effect I own. Can be done quickly or at length (used at least 3 times a day) Till Death Do Us Part: My favorite Photo Effect. Leaves the spectator thinking and feeling more self aware Poe Brainwave: Favorite Themed Card Effect. I talk a lot about Poe at my store and this gets used no less than 5 times a day. Haunted 2.0: My favorite playing card effect. Great for all ages - consistent and fun |

I enjoy the living and dead tests. I always do them right before an embalming just to make sure. Also love the moment I hold up the trocar and ask, "Can you guess what I am thinking?"
