And that prediction was made Sunday morning of the Wild Card Weekend. Maybe I should start hanging out with the mentalists. But then again, I may actually be the real deal Smile Or maybe not.

AAAAAAAH. The Colts are dead horses ! A moment of silence please.

Ok, so I was wrong, big deal. But they sure sucked today, didn't they ??? It was a laugher (at least for those NOT on the payroll)!

I have said that the AFC is stronger this year than the NFC. So Patriots are gonna be the Champs.

I predict a score of 41-23, Pats!

And, nice going Paul, I saw it coming, You da' man on that one!

I will probably be wrong again but so what?!?! Smile Smile Smile
BigJeff, pass the nachos please, the check is in the mail!

Like I said guys. Patriots for Superbowl champs, Brady for MVP! Just look at the way they cooled the hottest QB in the postseason (Manning) as well as the rest of the Colts.

Nice try, but I don't give out lottery numbers either Smile

I agree with Glen that the AFC is definitely stronger this year than the NFC, however, the Pats don't have a strong running game and don't score much on good defenses--and the Panthers have good defense. Davis has two more weeks to recover and should be in good running shape for the big game. So, Panthers in a relatively low scoring game. Against any other team in the NFC, I would pick the Patriots and if the game was held next Sunday I would pick the Pats, but in two weeks--unless John Fox and crew make a crucial stupid coaching decision--the Panthers will be Super Bowl champs. (And if I'm wrong, a 9-2 playoff pick record ain't too bad, though 10-1 would be better.)

With only two teams left I have a 50/50 chance of picking the winner. My bet is on the Panthers by 12 points.

Good points made, Paul. I predict a high score mainly due to the weather not hampering things as much as it has been lately. Advantages that the Pats have (IMO) are:

1. Experience. A lot of these guys were on the team 2 years ago when they won it all.

2. Defense. I think their defense is superior.

3. Quarterback. No explanation necessary.

But regardless of all that, I still always like underdogs and you know that the Panthers are going to be just that. I also think it will be a good game. I am looking forward to watching this one.

So guys, who's gonna win the big one? I'd say Patriots, for sure.

A bit of literary doggerel, on the eve of the game, courtesy of Ogden Nash.

The Panther
The panther is like a leopard,
Except it hasn't been peppered.

Should you behold a panther crouch,
Prepare to say, "ouch."

Better yet, if called by a panther,
Don't anther.
Cheers,
Steve

This is definitely the year for the Browns to make a showing...or maybe next year...or not.

Since Modell won twice, and now Belicheck got two, all the Browns got was sc**wed.

Sorry Café, but did you guys see the Janet Jackson strip show? I was not paying attention during the game, but fortunately our local Pm news forgot to put up the fuzzy cover, and they replayed it five times like Max Headroom, 1st time I thought hay that's not very fuzzy, then I said that's not fuzzy at all, then finally I said that's not fuzzy its pierced! So what do the Europeans think about all the brew-ha-ha, Americans are so up tight. I'm more disgusted by the violent way he tore her clothes off than the actual flash of flesh.
IMPO--in my perverted opinion Smile
