I think that the best of the three effects is Boomerang.

First thing I have to say, I got the videos for free because I volunteered to write an review on themagiccafe.com.
So what do we have here: 4 mp4 files, one introduction and for each trick a separate video. I like that since I sort my videos in Cards -> Packet or full deck -> gaffed or ungaffed on my hard-disk. The videos are in good quality, camera focus is correct, sometimes Davids hands move out of the frame, but it doesn¡¦t distract. So talking about the tricks, 2 tricks use common gaff cards and one trick is gaffless. I use the same order for my review as they are advertised on lybrary.com. Boomerang: Here is Davids description taken from lybrary.com: A deck with a blue back (which has been in use) has from it a card selected and signed. Two jokers with red backs are introduced and shown freely. The selected card is pushed into the center of the deck by the spectator. Without coming near the deck, the signed selection materializes between the jokers! Once again, the spectator buries his card into the deck. The jokers are placed together , and without coming near or touching the deck in any way, the signed card again instantly materializes between the jokers. Review: I like this one, it was superfast to learn, I only practiced it a couple of times and could immediately show it to my wife, who really liked the trick. This one uses a gaffed card and combines some well-known principles into a nice little routine which is perfect for walk around or close-up work. It can be easily done with little card experience and since David shows a way to get the deck clean afterwards. You can continue your show without a deck switch. Misfit: David has no description on lybrabry.com only a video, so in my own words: Spectator cuts the deck, magician has 3 red cards and a blue card, where he doesn¡¦t show the faces but says, that the blue card has a prediction on it. Magician says that the 2 cards the spec cut to will lead to the selection. Then there is some card counting and some byplay, a little sucker interruption and you end with a royal flush on the table. I think you better watch the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IP-BmwdFVP8 Review: I think it¡¦s the weakest trick of the 3 and as you can see in my description it appears a little wild and confuse. I personally don¡¦t like routines that involve counting down cards and I hate sucker tricks and this trick is both! So that weakens it even more for me. It needs a certain table space, so it¡¦s not that good for table hopping. The handling is smooth and easy to learn, no hard grips there but the trick has a certain reset time. So I told David that I don¡¦t like this routine and asked if I should write the review anyway. He said, yes, no problem. But I felt a little guilty so I got the pattern down and performed it the next day for some lay people. The impact was better than expected and they really liked the trick. So I guess it¡¦s really just me ƒº Vanishing Point: Here is Davids description taken from lybrary.com: A four f a kind is shown front and back. One at a time the cards turn blank until all four cards are blank. Then instantly and visually the cards reprint! Review: I like this one, to me it appears as a nice short version of Tommy Wonders ¡§Tamed Cards¡¨, perfectly for walk-around or table hopping. So it¡¦s a packet trick with 2 common gaffed cards, the handwork doesn¡¦t involve hard card grips but you need to get the handling down and I think it has to be done with a certain timing. That said, it¡¦s learnable for Beginners with certain training and not that hard to do for the average card magician. All in all: Boomerang is going in one of my regular walk-around sets. Vanishing point is also very nice, but since I already got the Tamed Cards down, I will stick with them. Perhaps I am doing Misfit injustice, but it is just not my kind of trick. That said, I think it¡¦s a nice set of tricks, you learn some nice moves or see some again you may have already forgotten ƒº All tricks are doable and presentable, I think especially Boomerang and Vanishing Point are real workers. I¡¦d like to say thanks to David for giving me the chance to write this. |

The zip file is very large and depending on your internet speed may take a while ( 40 minutes on mine) I am in agreement with Sicnatius about liking both Boomerang and Vanishing Point. Both of these effects are doable and could be added to a walk-around set. Misfit is an effect that you could show to friends or other magicians if given some setup time. And just like Sicnatius I agree "the videos are in good quality, camera focus is correct”, but to me when David’s “hands move out of the frame" it does distract from showing some of the slights used. I liked that David shows some sleights that I have never seen and that I feel I can learn and use. Overall, I liked the video ( I am a visual learner) and the effects.

Thanx guys! I will admit that "The Misfit" is geared more for use in a formal close-up show, and not really for table-hopping/walk around situations.
